It became the second Asian company to join the &#8220;trillion club,&#8221; following Taiwan&#8217;s TSMC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">According to the Korea Exchange on Monday, Samsung Electronics closed at 266,000 won, up 14.41%, or 33,500 won, from the previous trading day. The stock briefly crossed the 270,000 won mark intraday, setting its largest single-day gain since April 1 this year, when it rose 13.40%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Samsung&#8217;s market capitalization reached 1,555.1 trillion won (approximately $1.069 trillion), surpassing the $1 trillion threshold for the first time. In the global market capitalization rankings, the company overtook Walmart to claim 11th place and is closely trailing Tesla, which sits at 10th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Nvidia currently holds the top spot in global market capitalization, followed by Alphabet, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, TSMC, Broadcom, Aramco, Meta Platforms, and Tesla. Reuters reported that the rally in U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) stocks is spreading to Korean memory chipmakers, drawing global capital into the Korean stock market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">SK hynix (000660.KS) also closed up 10.64% at 1.601 million won, breaking through the 1.6 million won mark.
