{"id":59911,"date":"2026-06-21T19:12:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T19:12:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/59911\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T19:12:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T19:12:08","slug":"lg-autonomy-fully-effective-in-kwara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/59911\/","title":{"rendered":"LG autonomy fully effective in Kwara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"image-caption\">Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq<\/p>\n<p>The senior adviser and counselor to <a href=\"https:\/\/guardian.ng\/news\/kemanji-attack-abdulrazaq-approves-%E2%82%A620m-to-families-of-slain-soldiers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq<\/a> of Kwara State, Alhaji Saadu Salahudeen, on Sunday affirmed that the local government autonomy is fully effective in Kwara State.\n<\/p>\n<p>According to him, governor AbdulRazaq\u2019s stance on the local government autonomy was in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu\u2019s administration.\n<\/p>\n<p>Salahu spoke in Ilorin, when the people of Ayegbami community, Dada, Okelele, Ilorin paid him a thank-you visit over the repair of their vandalised electricity transformer fully funded by the Ilorin East local government.<\/p>\n<p>Salahu told them that the gesture showed that the local government administration in the state has been very effective under the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq.<\/p>\n<p>He praised the governor for implementing full <a href=\"https:\/\/guardian.ng\/opinion\/columnists\/local-govt-autonomy-supreme-court-judgment-and-emerging-challenges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">local government autonomy<\/a> that has resuscitated the hitherto moribund local government administration by granting the councils\u2019 helmsmen free hands to operate. <\/p>\n<p>Salahu noted that dividends of democracy are now being felt at the grassroots in all parts of the local government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Ibagun Ward in particular, Ilorin East local government has remodeled the Upper Area Court Complex in Akerebiata, along Sobi Army Barrack road, Ilorin, donated a transformer to Igbawere community, constructed drainage and graded Abata Jagun, Sorafaja\/Al- Nur road; repaired boreholes at Olaoparun, Omitopo , Dada, Alawo- Nla areas and Kankatu Market which was was equally remodeled after a rainstorm, not long ago,\u201d Salahu added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the chairman of Ayegbami Community Development Association, Imam Daud Alata, had requested Salahu to express the profound gratitude of the people of the community to the <a href=\"https:\/\/guardian.ng\/news\/panic-gripped-the-baruba-okelele-area-of-ilorin-east-local-council-of-kwara-state-yesterday-following-the-killing-of-two-persons-by-suspected-cultists-the-guardian-learnt-that-the-attackers-storm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ilorin East local government<\/a> chairman, Hon.
