{"id":6068,"date":"2026-05-06T18:22:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T18:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/6068\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T18:22:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T18:22:07","slug":"bts-concert-tour-hits-stanford-stadium-and-tickets-are-tough-to-come-by","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/6068\/","title":{"rendered":"BTS concert tour hits Stanford Stadium and tickets are tough to come by"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year has further underscored one thing that we\u2019ve long known to be true in the concert industry:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/01\/23\/bts-concert-tickets-world-tour-stanford-stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">BTS<\/a> is big business.<\/p>\n<p>Just ask Stanford University, which is set to host these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/01\/13\/bts-concert-tickets-tour-stanford-stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">K-pop superstars<\/a> for three huge sold-out shows as part of the band\u2019s blockbuster 2026-27 world tour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2018\/09\/12\/bts-concert-review-k-pop-phenomenon-hits-bay-area\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">BTS<\/a> is set to play Stanford Stadium May 16, 17 and 19.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2020\/04\/17\/best-of-bts-fans-select-their-favorite-bts-songs-of-all-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">BTS tour<\/a> \u2014 which kicked off on the band\u2019s home turf in South Korea in April \u2014 marks the band\u2019s long-awaited return to the stage.<\/p>\n<p>Just how long-awaited?<\/p>\n<p>Well, these shows are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2019\/04\/12\/watch-bts-sends-good-morning-video-to-fans-from-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">BTS<\/a>\u2019 first headline performances as a group since 2021\u20132022\u2019s Permission to Dance on Stage tour, which only consisted of 12 gigs across three cities \u2014 Seoul, Las Vegas and Pasadena.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, one has to go all the way back to 2018 to find the last time BTS performed in Northern California, when the group brought the Love Yourself World Tour to Oakland Arena.<\/p>\n<p>BTS is a massive booking for a venue that only recently got into the concert business. Indeed, Stanford Stadium\u2019s very first major rock\/pop shows just happened last year when Chris Martin and Coldplay took over the home of the Cardinal football team for two nights.<\/p>\n<p>This BTS current tour \u201cwill feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design.
