LG Display

LG Display (034220.KS) is launching a customized job training program to strengthen the practical competitiveness of unemployed young people. The company plans to directly cultivate field-tailored talent to lead the advanced display industry by featuring a curriculum that combines its world-class organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology expertise with practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI).

According to the electronics industry Wednesday, LG Display said it has opened a job training program called “Let’s Grow with LG Display” and is recruiting trainees. The program is part of the “K-New Deal Academy” project organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL). It is a practice-oriented talent development initiative in which companies directly design and operate training courses to meet on-site demand.

The program targets unemployed young people aged 34 and under. A total of 100 trainees will be selected, with application documents accepted through the LG Display Newsroom website until July 16. The final selected trainees will undergo an intensive three-month course starting in August.

The instructors consist of senior-level researchers with more than 10 years of experience in the display field and key working-level experts holding professional qualifications in related areas. In particular, the course is designed step by step from basic theory so that even those without a background in display or AI can follow without difficulty. This means anyone can participate and build practical skills regardless of their qualifications or job-search gap.

The curriculum is built on two main pillars. A “basic competency” program that helps job seekers design their career paths is organically connected with a “specialized competency” program covering “AI utilization skills” essential to future manufacturing processes and display manufacturing technology. The focus is on raising job seekers’ real employment competitiveness by intensively teaching how AI technology, for which demand has recently surged across industries, is applied and adapted to actual display design and process jobs.

In addition, LG Display offers connected programs to support trainees’ job-search activities from multiple angles, including job mentoring from current employees, one-on-one resume consulting, and practical mock interviews. During the three-month training period, selected trainees receive a monthly youth training allowance of 300,000 won. Trainees who properly complete the course receive an official certificate along with an electronic product equipped with an LG Display panel as a reward.

“The very opportunity to directly experience the latest practical trends, such as AI utilization, within the company’s advanced infrastructure will serve as a solid stepping stone for young job seekers,” an LG Display official said. “We will continue to serve as a trustworthy mentor in the process of helping young people strengthen their practical skills and enter the industrial field.”

LG Display’s ‘K-New Deal Academy’ recruitment poster.
