Resource security followed at 5.2 trillion won (39 percent), economic essentials at 2.3 trillion won (17 percent), and logistics infrastructure at 600 billion won (5 percent).

The Supply Chain Stabilization Fund was launched in September 2024. In its early stages, support was concentrated on advanced strategic industries such as semiconductors and secondary batteries. More recently, the share of resource security and logistics infrastructure has grown. Through its crisis-response special program, Korea Eximbank has expanded the lending limit for purchasing Middle Eastern crude oil and applies preferential interest rates to companies importing strategic resources such as crude oil, gas, minerals, and food. The bank also expanded financial support for investment in supply chain logistics infrastructure, including transportation, stockpiling, and ports.

As the scale of support has grown, the bank has also expanded its bond issuance to raise funds. As of the end of May this year, supply chain fund bond issuance reached 3.2 trillion won, up 164 percent from 1.2 trillion won in the same period last year. In April, the bank successfully issued foreign-currency fund bonds (global bonds) for the first time since the fund’s launch, expanding its funding base overseas. “We will fulfill our role as a state-run bank through the supply chain fund,” a Korea Eximbank official said.

The Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) is accelerating its support for advanced industries and resource security.
