Another day, another phone leak: this time for Samsung\u2019s next lineup of foldable phones. Images posted by\u00a0Android Headlines<\/a> depict the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8, all in a diverse range of cases. It also appears some of the images show off Samsung\u2019s new \u201cwide\u201d foldable, which will battle with Apple\u2019s first foldable iPhone<\/a>. The new phones are all expected to launch in July at a Galaxy Unpacked event.<\/p>\n

At this point, Samsung totally lacks the element of surprise when it comes to announcing new phones. It\u2019s almost more expected that we\u2019ll see images of these devices ahead of their official launch than not.<\/p>\n

The new foldable lineup appears to be the logical next upgrades to Samsung\u2019s foldables, with one notable exception: the new extra-wide phone. It\u2019s been suggested by other leaks<\/a> that this new addition to the lineup might be called the \u201cZ Fold 8,\u201d with the more classic Z Fold 7<\/a> aspect ratio being rebranded as the \u201cZ Fold 8 Ultra.\u201d Notably, rear shots of this new phone show a two-camera array (50-megapixel main and 50-megpixel ultrawide), rather than the three cameras found on the Fold 8 Ultra<\/p>\n

As for specs, the Z Fold 8 is rumored to have a 5.4-inch cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 7.6-inch inner screen (also with 120Hz), and a 4,800mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging and 25W wireless charging. AndroidHeadlines claims it\u2019ll use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip.<\/p>\n

The leak actually shows off more about the foldables\u2019 accessory lineup than the phones themselves. We\u2019ve got a look at aramid fiber cases in red and blue, clear magnetic cases, and kickstand cases. Samsung\u2019s always had a love affair with these sort of rugged cases, and that trend continues here. We also have some cute clear cases with bunnies and penguins on them.<\/p>\n

The new images don\u2019t give much away that wasn\u2019t already revealed by previous leaks, though the consistency with those older leaks points to some veracity here. We\u2019ll find out in just a few weeks whether or not the wide phone is real. Sorry, Samsung, the leaks won over your big reveal again this year. Better luck next time.<\/p>\n
