LG Electronics (066570.KS) has launched an initiative to help young job seekers grow into practical, work-ready talent capable of leading future industries such as artificial intelligence transformation (AX) and digital marketing.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, LG Electronics established a hands-on training program called “Let’s Grow with LG Electronics” and began recruiting its first cohort of trainees.<\/p>\n
The program is part of the “K-New Deal Academy,” a youth vocational training project promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy together with domestic companies. To expand education opportunities for young people in the regions, the program will operate in non-metropolitan areas including Busan, Daegu and Daejeon, recruiting young people who can participate in training in those regions.<\/p>\n
The program operates across three tracks: AX, Smart Factory and Digital Marketing. The Smart Factory track is centered on training that improves understanding of jobs needed on the manufacturing floor, such as how to operate manufacturing processes and automation equipment and how to use production data. In the AX track, participants can experience LG Electronics’ work processes through a course that defines problems based on data and solves them with AI. In the Digital Marketing track, participants receive training focused on data-analysis-based marketing practice, including content planning, social network service (SNS) channel operation, online advertising execution and performance analysis.<\/p>\n
LG Electronics is recruiting participants for the first cohort from the 26th of this month through the 13th of next month. The company plans to select final participants through document screening and interviews. Any young job seeker between the ages of 15 and 34 can apply.<\/p>\n
Those selected will receive 11 weeks of training starting in August in regions including Daegu, Daejeon and Busan. They will go through commuting-based courses held at regional training sites as well as a residential course at the LG Electronics Learning Center inside LG Digital Park in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.<\/p>\n
Participants can take part without bearing any training costs. LG Electronics plans to support participants in connecting their training experience to job competitiveness through practical projects, employment preparation programs and portfolio writing assistance.<\/p>\n
