Photo courtesy of the Army<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">The Republic of Korea Army has joined hands with Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) to prepare for future battlefield environments and help nurture a smart technology powerhouse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">The Army signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Electronics on January 6 at Gyeryongdae in South Chungcheong Province to expand cooperation in advanced science and technology, the Army said Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">The agreement was designed to adapt Samsung Electronics&#8217; cutting-edge technologies to military operational environments and to establish a practical foundation for cooperation in artificial intelligence, next-generation networks (5G\/6G), and mobile security.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">The two organizations designated key cooperation areas including advancement of mobile systems using AI technology, construction of next-generation networks, and application of mobile security platforms.
