{"id":76173,"date":"2026-07-06T12:16:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T12:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/76173\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T12:16:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T12:16:07","slug":"koreas-bitplanet-to-put-10m-in-bitcoin-mining-in-oman-paraguay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/76173\/","title":{"rendered":"Korea&#8217;s Bitplanet to Put $10M in Bitcoin Mining in Oman, Paraguay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">South Korea\u2019s Bitplanet plans to launch Bitcoin mining operations in Oman and Paraguay as it tries to build recurring <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinfoundation.org\/markets\/BTC\" class=\"fc-ticker-badge fc-ticker-badge--up\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BTC\u25b2$62,630.00<\/a> production.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitplanet, a South Korea-based Bitcoin treasury company, said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Nasdaq-listed Antalpha and mining ecosystem partners to enter <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinfoundation.org\/tag\/mining\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bitcoin mining<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the plan, outlined in a <a href=\"https:\/\/bit-planet.kr\/press_en\/4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">press release<\/a>, Bitplanet will deploy 15 billion won (roughly $10 million), in Bitcoin mining equipment in Oman and Paraguay, citing competitive electricity costs as reasons for the locations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first phase is expected to produce just about 7 BTC\/month and more than 80 BTC\/year, though the final output would likely depend on equipment uptime and network difficulty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinfoundation.org\/news\/bitcoin-mining-news\/bitcoin-miner-formed-from-celsius-mining-arm-files-for-nasdaq-listing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bitcoin Miner Formed From Celsius Mining Arm Files for Nasdaq Listing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bitplanet\u2019s Bitcoin Mining Adds Production to Treasury Strategy<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mining initiative extends Bitplanet\u2019s approach towards Bitcoin acquisition in addition to acquiring it from the open market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the partnership between Bitplanet and Antalpha isn\u2019t limited to buying mining machines, but also to develop a channel for creating Bitcoin, instead of purchasing BTC through the open market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitplanet positions itself as one of South Korea\u2019s more aggressive corporate Bitcoin treasury names.
