{"id":83097,"date":"2026-07-12T03:35:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T03:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/83097\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T03:35:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T03:35:12","slug":"super-juniors-heechul-criticised-for-comments-on-telling-partners-to-get-on-their-knees-in-relationships-on-dating-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/83097\/","title":{"rendered":"Super Junior\u2019s Heechul Criticised For Comments On &#8220;Telling Partners To Get On Their Knees In Relationships&#8221; On Dating Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While Korean dating shows like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8days.sg\/entertainment\/asian\/singles-inferno-contestants-k-dramas-853986\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Single&#8217;s Inferno<\/a> and EXchange are all about flirting and finding love, JTBC&#8217;s new reality show Love War takes a very different approach to that format by diving into the messy side of relationships, featuring couples in crises.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The show only premiered on June 23, but one of its cast members has already found himself at the centre of controversy over some unexpected remarks.<\/p>\n<p>Led by Lee Hyori, Seo Jang Hoon and Kim Heechul, the hosts team up with celeb guests to play \u201cmediators\u201d, analysing the relationship woes of troubled couples and offering their take on how they can work through their issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To start things off, the panel took a personality test to uncover their dating styles. Heechul ended up labelled as the &#8220;Dictator Genghis Khan&#8221; type, a personality said to be more dominant and commanding in relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Hyori asked the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8days.sg\/entertainment\/asian\/shindong-super-junior-lose-37kg-5-months-858461\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Super Junior member<\/a> if he had ever told a girlfriend to beg or even kneel before him, presumably during an argument.<\/p>\n<p>Heechul initially brushed off the question, saying: \u201cI\u2019ve never forced anyone to kneel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He could have just stopped there.
