Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Specs<\/p>\n
The direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7 has now turned into an “Ultra” foldable and will start at 2,199 euros in Europe, $2,999 in Australia and in $2,099 the US. While no downgrades are expected here, the “Ultra” upgrades are also fairly limited. Definitely worth mentioning is the new 8-inch display, which Samsung says is a new AMOLED panel that will also be significantly sharper with a resolution of 2,504 x 2,256 pixels. By comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 had a resolution of 2,184 x 1,968 pixels. The aspect ratio remains the same at 3:2, and little has changed with the 6.5-inch cover display either. In addition to the 200-megapixel main camera with an f\/1.7 aperture and the 3x telephoto with a 10-megapixel sensor and f\/2.4 aperture, there is now a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f\/1.9 aperture, while the selfie cameras remain at 10-megapixel sensors with an f\/2.2 aperture. Given the increased space available, the 5,000 mAh battery with 45-watt charging speed is less ambitious; competitors from China tend to offer 7,000 mAh batteries. At least the IP48-rated housing has become slightly thinner and now measures \u00a04.1 mm instead if 4.2 mm. Samsung can, by the way, tout a 51-hour battery life according to EPREL\u2014significantly longer than its predecessor\u2019s\u2014but the 1,200 charge cycles listed on EPREL are still rather low here as well. <\/p>\n
As with its compact sibling, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy provides all the processing power, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage\u2014the latter will be combined with 16 GB of RAM again. The glass-aluminum body with titanium layers beneath the display will weigh 218 grams, slightly more than its predecessor. In addition to the colors Graphite, Cream, and Violet Shadow, Samsung is offering the exclusive colors Green Shadow aka Violet Green.
