Yonhap News<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Hanwha Investment &amp; Securities has completed a strategic investment of about 30 billion won in Digital Asset, a US blockchain infrastructure company, accelerating the expansion of its digital asset business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Hanwha Investment &amp; Securities said on the 16th that it had invested about 30 billion won in Digital Asset, which is headquartered in New York. Digital Asset is a blockchain technology company for global financial institutions and operates the Canton Network, a finance-focused open blockchain used by major financial firms including Goldman Sachs and the Depository Trust &amp; Clearing Corporation (DTCC).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">The Canton Network is an open distributed ledger-based financial infrastructure designed to digitize and trade real-world assets such as bonds and funds while complying with existing financial regulations recognized in global financial markets. It is regarded as a key platform connecting traditional finance and digital assets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Hanwha Investment &amp; Securities signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Digital Asset in April this year to respond to the digital transformation trend in global financial markets, and has now further strengthened the partnership through this equity investment.
