Compared to the 2025 model, that\u2019s a $6300 discount. Such a price drop sounds tantalizing, but remember that folks were taking advantage of the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadandtrack.com\/news\/a43895032\/a-leasing-loophole-lets-you-skirt-ev-tax-credit-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.roadandtrack.com\/news\/a43895032\/a-leasing-loophole-lets-you-skirt-ev-tax-credit-requirements\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"lease loophole\" data-node-id=\"1.1\" class=\"body-link css-r8qnsp emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">lease loophole<\/a>\u201d up until the end of September 2025 that allowed dealerships to pass along the full $7500 credit to lessees in the form of a reduced lease cost. That said, there\u2019s no guarantee a dealer had to do such a thing, so the real reduction in price from Hyundai here is still a big deal, particularly for those who would like to buy instead of lease.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"2\" class=\"css-1ood0zq emevuu60\">In addition to the lower price, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadandtrack.com\/reviews\/a62922857\/hyundai-ioniq-5-n-performance-electric-car-winner-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.roadandtrack.com\/reviews\/a62922857\/hyundai-ioniq-5-n-performance-electric-car-winner-2025\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"the Ioniq 5 N\" data-node-id=\"2.1\" class=\"body-link css-r8qnsp emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the Ioniq 5 N<\/a> has a few notable updates for 2026. Every other version of the Ioniq 5 already made the switch from t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadandtrack.com\/news\/a64032503\/how-hyundai-transitioned-ioniq-5-from-ccs-to-nacs\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.roadandtrack.com\/news\/a64032503\/how-hyundai-transitioned-ioniq-5-from-ccs-to-nacs\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"he CCS port to NACS\" data-node-id=\"2.3\" class=\"body-link css-r8qnsp emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">he CCS port to NACS<\/a>, and now the 5 N completes the switchover by adopting the NACS port. Hyundai says it\u2019s including a CCS-to-NACS adapter for both Level 2 and fast charging.<\/p>\n<p><img draggable=\"true\" alt=\"hyundai ioniq 5 n\" title=\"Hyundai Ioniq 5 N\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"4000\" height=\"2667\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" style=\"color:transparent;width:100%;height:auto;\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/dwburnett-rt-ionic-m3-666c7e657aa01.jpg\" class=\"css-0 e1ddfba50\"\/><\/p>\n<p>DW Burnett<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-1ood0zq emevuu60\">There are some slightly more exciting improvements made, too. Hyundai says its N Drift Optimizer now includes 10 selectable stages, and Performance Blue Pearl joins the exterior color palette (previously, Performance Blue Matte was the only blue).
