This year, Malaysia hopes to increase that figure to 600,000.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cOur arrivals from South Korea have yet to return to pre-pandemic levels,\u201d Kamilia said. \u201cBefore Covid-19, we welcomed more than 600,000 South Korean visitors, so this is an important milestone for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The tourism drive forms part of the government\u2019s global Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, which aims to attract 47 million international visitors despite growing uncertainties affecting the global travel industry.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Kamilia Hani Abdul Halim, director of Tourism Malaysia Seoul, speaks during an interview at her office in central Seoul on July 13.
