It can take root as a culture only when all site members understand and practice it in their daily lives,” he said.

Hansuho was designed based on the image of a worker equipped with essential safety gear that must be worn at sites, including a white hard hat, a safety harness, and safety shoes. The company said the character’s bright expression and reliable appearance reduce the psychological distance felt by site members, while also conveying an image of responsibly complying with safety rules.

The name was finalized through an in-house naming contest and an employee vote. It combines the “Han” from “Hanwha” and “Suho,” meaning to protect safety, carrying the meaning of protecting workers from on-site dangers. The company said the name was created to be both intuitive and approachable.

Hanwha Engineering & Construction plans to gradually apply Hansuho to on-site safety facilities, signage, safety posters, educational materials, and campaign content. The company plans to use the character in content that guides workers on safety rules that vary by season and type of work, helping workers understand the relevant information more easily and remember it longer.

At the same time, the company intends to actively use Hansuho across its overall online and offline communication channels, including on-site safety and health education, various safety campaigns, and in-house online content, to encourage voluntary participation from site members. Over the long term, the company aims to grow Hansuho into a site safety mascot familiar to workers.

Hanwha E&C’s safety character “Han Su-ho.” Photo courtesy of Hanwha E&C Hanwha Engineering & Construction said on the…

[30
20715,50007,355,19668,354,50010,50009,50008,50011
post-96082","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-hanwha","tag-construction-site-safety","tag-hansuho","tag-hanwha","tag-hanwha-engineering-construction","tag-hanwha-group","tag-kim-woo-seok","tag-safety-character","tag-safety-mascot","tag-workplace-safety-culture
["GET
