It’s not all egg hunts at Easter – couples, singles and friends can kick back and enjoy the long weekend too.
We’ve put together a list of events to enjoy, from Chicago blues and a heavy metal festival to vintage cars, comedy dating confessions and the traditional Easter Emaischen bird whistle markets. There’s something to do from Thursday to Monday, 2-6 April.

Cinémathèque @ Théâtre des Capucins
The cult classic on a big screen, this time scanned frame by frame at ultra-high resolutions to bring Ridley Scott’s futurist film into the 21st century.

Calling all headbangers to this festival organised by the Commune of Petange and Attitude Music asbl, which is free and hosted at Home St Hubert. The lineup includes Warfield, Praetor, Abstract Rapture, Full Throttle Baby and Serpent Bite.

Head to this with friends, your date, or solo, to hear some of the craziest dating stories. This interactive show, hosted by Fathers Richard and Sundeep, has sold out across Europe. Tune up your windpipes, grab a mic and belt out your favourite song at this Clausen establishment. Anyone can try it out. The same outfit are hosting an Easter eve party on 5 April from 10.00 to 03.00.

Take a dander down to Echternach’s market square on Easter Sunday to see vintage cars, motorcycles and tractors from many different eras.

Have a lazy Easter Sunday with brunch at GridX in Wickrange, costing €39, where you can enjoy seasonal flavours, sweet treats and festive favourites. Take a tour with a guide to discover the fascinating world of printing at the Gutenberg Revisited exhibition. Tours can be in English, and will cover the two floors of the museum. Emaischen
Nospelt & Luxembourg City
The sleepy village of Nospelt, home to potters and little bird whistles, comes alive on Easter Monday. Buy a hand-crafted bird whistle, sample some traditional cuisine such as Judd mat gaardebounen, with live music, and plenty to eat and drink. Bus 824 will get you there from the city, and you can find out more here.
You can also head to the old town in Luxembourg City for a Péckvillerche market from 8.00 to 17.00, on the streets around Rue du Marché aux Herbes, Rue de la Reine and Rue Sigefroi.
