Prime Minister Robert Abela held a meeting with Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden in Luxembourg.

During the meeting, relations between the two countries were discussed, as well as various areas of common interest, including trade, investment, education and culture.

Prime Minister Abela stressed the importance of Malta continuing to strengthen its relations with Luxembourg, while creating more opportunities for business and investment between the two countries. He also highlighted the potential for greater collaboration in areas such as financial services, technology and sustainability.

The two Prime Ministers also discussed international and European issues, and agreed on the need to further strengthen cooperation among European Union member states.

Regarding the situation in the Middle East, both sides stressed the need for immediate de-escalation and full respect for international law. They also underlined the importance of a sustainable solution based on dialogue.

Prime Minister Robert Abela spoke about Malta’s commitment to strong relations with partner countries, while maintaining that continued dialogue is crucial in addressing common challenges.

The meeting took place during the Prime Minister’s visit to Luxembourg, where later he attended the Maltese national football team’s match against Luxembourg.
