The Luxembourgish public broadcaster has outlined its Eurovision programming as the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest takes place next week.
RTL has released its programming for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Commencing on Tuesday night, RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg will air all three live shows with commentary provided by Raoul Roos and Roger Saurfeld.
Ahead of Semi-Final Two a documentary will be aired, ‘RTL Spezial – Luxembourg Song Contest Documentaire’, which follows the organisation of the Luxembourg Song Contest. On Thursday night commentary will be provided on RTL Infos and RTL Today in French and English as Eva Marija competes for a place in the final.
Ahead of the Grand Final, there will be a 1 hour preview show ‘ESC Warm-up live aus der Stadthalle zu Wien’ following all the preparations in Vienna for the contest, as RTL talks to experts, singers and fans ahead of the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eva Marija will perform “Mother Nature” fourth in the second semi-final on May 14. This will be the first time that Luxembourg is represented by an entry that is not in one of their official languages.
Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest+
Luxembourg was one of seven countries to take part in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Luxembourg participated in the contest 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times. The last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, but opted against it due to the financial cost of participating. They eventually returned in 2024, after an absence of 31 years.
