Yesterday, Politecnico hosted an institutional and business delegation from Luxembourg as part of the “Official Trade Mission to Italy”, promoted by the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy together with the Embassy of Luxembourg in Rome and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, also in the presence of the Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Turin. The visit forms part of the collaborations already established between Politecnico, the MOST National Centre and Luxembourgish partners on the topics of sustainable mobility, aeronautical mobility and e-mobility, within projects funded through the PNRR.
The conference, held in Sala Emma Strada, provided an opportunity to discuss the research and innovation activities carried out by Politecnico and to explore potential future synergies with Luxembourg’s research and industrial sectors. Speaking on behalf of Politecnico were Fabrizio Pirri, Vice-Rector for the Development of the Research Model and Infrastructure, Gianmario Pellegrino, professor at the Department of Energy “Galileo Ferraris”-DENERG with responsibilities delegated by the the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Technological Innovation regarding technology transfer to businesses, Giuseppe Scellato, professor at the Department of Management and Production Engineering-DIGEP and President of I3P, alongside professors Andrea Tonoli and Francesco Avallone from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering-DIMEAS, who explored the topics of Sustainable Road Vehicles and Air Mobility respectively. The MOST National Centre was presented by Claudia Simoni, Business Development Manager of the project. On behalf of the Luxembourg delegation, institutional greetings were delivered by Jacques Thill, Coordinator for Digital Economy and Data Policy at the Ministry of the Economy, followed by a presentation by Lea Mauer focusing on the country’s automotive sector.
