Actress Hana Sofia Lopes will be the Luxembourgish spokesperson for the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.
RTL has confirmed to Eurovoix that Luxembourgian-Portuguese actress Hana Sofia Lopes will be the spokesperson for Luxembourg at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Hana Sofia Lopes was born in Luxembourg to Portuguese parents and has performed in film, television and on stage in Luxembourg, Germany, Portugal and beyond.
Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest will recognise Hana Sofia Lopes as one of three hosts of Luxembourg’s selection for Eurovision 2026. Hana Sofia hosted the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 alongside Loïc Juchem and Raoul Roos.

Eva Marija will perform “Mother Nature” fourth in the second semi-final on May 14. This will be the first time that Luxembourg is represented by an entry that is not in one of their official languages.

Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest+
Luxembourg was one of seven countries to take part in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Luxembourg participated in the contest 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times. The last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, but opted against it due to the financial cost of participating. They eventually returned in 2024, after an absence of 31 years.
