This was stated by Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden during a press conference following the Coalition of the Willing summit in Kyiv.

He stressed that a country’s size does not limit its ability to defend freedom, independence, and international law. In his view, the united position of partner countries is particularly important in countering Russian aggression.

When freedom and independence are attacked, when international law is violated, every country’s voice matters. And the more voices speak out against attacks on international law, the stronger we are.

– Luc Frieden

Ukraine’s Security as Part of Europe’s Security

Luc Frieden described unity as the key strength of the Coalition of the Willing, which includes more than 30 countries. He noted that preserving an independent and secure Ukraine directly affects the stability of all European partners.

We are more than 30 countries that share the same position: if Ukraine is secure and remains independent, we will all be secure and remain independent. If Ukraine loses, other countries will become the next targets after Ukraine. That is why we must support Ukraine.

– Luc Frieden

Luxembourg’s Contribution to Supporting Ukraine

According to Luc Frieden, Luxembourg is among Ukraine’s largest donors relative to its population. The country supports the Ukraine Energy Support Fund and participates in the Coalition of the Willing and the Air Defence Coalition.

The Grand Duchy also provides Ukraine with aviation and satellite capabilities. At the beginning of August, Luxembourg transferred €8 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contributions to €30 million.

So my view is that every country must make its contribution, because together we are stronger; together we ensure that Europe remains a safe continent in the future. And it all begins in Ukraine.

– Luc Frieden

The Prime Minister of Luxembourg stressed that joint assistance to Ukraine remains a necessary condition for protecting European security and international law.

A small European country is making a broader security argument, linking Ukraine’s survival directly to the future stability…

[4
3428,3429,32,5,3430,3431,56,3432
post-11307","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-luxembourg","tag-coalition-of-the-willing","tag-european-security","tag-luc-frieden","tag-luxembourg","tag-luxembourg-aid","tag-luxembourg-ukraine-support","tag-news","tag-ukraine-energy-support
["GET
