This year marks the third year Luxembourg has been back in Eurovision since returning in 2024 after a 30-year absence. With the success of Luxembourg Song Contest 2024<\/a> and 2025<\/a>, Luxembourgish broadcaster RTL has opted for the national final route again to determine their Eurovision 2026 entrant.<\/p>\n

Luxembourg Song Contest 2026<\/a> (LSC 2026) saw eight acts perform their songs tonight. After all the performances took place and two rounds of votes were counted, it became official: Eva Marija had won LSC 2026 with “Mother Nature<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

“Mother Nature<\/a>” was written by Eva Puc, Julie Aagaard, Maria Broberg, and Thomas Stengaard.<\/p>\n

Luxembourg Song Contest 2026<\/a> was held at Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette and was hosted by Hana Sofia Lopes, Lo\u00efc Juchem, and Raoul Roos. Voting to determine the winner was split between and international jury and online voting.<\/p>\n

Tonight’s show started off with an opening number featuring last year’s winner, JJ, performing his Eurovision-winning 2025 song, Wasted Love<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Laura Thorn also took the LSC 2026 stage with her Eurovision 2025 song, La poup\u00e9e monte le son<\/a>, alongside some kids from the You Can Sing Contest.<\/p>\n

Eurovision 1986 winner Sandra Kim performed her Eurovision classic, J’aime La Vie<\/a>, as well.<\/p>\n

Iceland’s 2025 representatives V\u00e6b also gave us a great show performing their song “R\u00d3A<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Eva Marija will wave Luxembourg’s flag in Vienna during Semi-final 2<\/a> on 14 May, and looks to continue Luxembourg’s 100% qualification streak to the Grand Final.<\/p>\n

At age 3 Eva Puc fell in love with the violin after watching Alexander Rybak\u2019s Eurovision-winning Fairytale<\/a>. She pursued a multi-disciplinary path at the Luxembourg City Conservatoire studying violin, singing, piano, and bass guitar across genres from jazz and classical to pop\/rock.<\/p>\n

Born and raised in Luxembourg to Slovenian parents, she remains connected to both cultures. Performing since age 14, she\u2019s currently studying songwriting in London.<\/p>\n

Eva met her team at the Rocklab Camp: Swedish singer-songwriter Maria Broberg (Maria Mathea) and two Danes, songwriter Julie Aagaard and producer Thomas Stengaard.<\/p>\n

Eva recalls:<\/p>\n

\u2013 There was a really special energy and flow within our group. We based the song on the feeling of childhood, when you\u2019d be playing carefree within parks and forests<\/p>\n

\u2013 Mother Nature uses nature as a symbol of hope, freedom and groundedness. It calls to reconnect with your inner child and let go of your fears.<\/p>\n
