Schroders Appoints Former Credit Suisse Luxembourg CEO <\/p>\n
Asset manager Schroders has appointed\u00a0Patrick Schwyzer\u00a0as Head of Client Group Europe. He will assume his new role in Zurich on April 7, reporting to\u00a0Matt Oomen,\u00a0Global Head of Client Group, the firm said in a statement on Monday.<\/p>\n
Schwyzer will be responsible for the company\u2019s pan-European client group strategy and will oversee activities across wealth management, wholesale, and institutional clients. The aim is to further tailor the firm\u2019s offering to the diverse needs of European markets.<\/p>\n
Extensive Leadership Experience and Network<\/p>\n
Schwyzer brings more than two decades of leadership experience in private banking and asset management. He joins Schroders from UBS, where he most recently served as CEO of Credit Suisse (Luxembourg). In that role, he led more than 350 employees across multiple European jurisdictions and was responsible for developing the regional platform.<\/p>\n
\u00abHis extensive network and deep understanding of the European investor landscape will be key to further strengthening our position in the region\u00bb, said Oomen.<\/p>\n
Switzerland as a Regional Hub<\/p>\n
The appointment further strengthens Schroders\u2019 European leadership team and underscores its strategic focus on expanding its European business and enhancing connectivity between regional markets and the global organisation.<\/p>\n
By basing the role in Zurich, Schroders also reaffirms Switzerland\u2019s importance as a regional hub.
