The eldest son of Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Jos\u00e9phine-Charlotte, Grand Duke Henri started his reign in 2000, after his own father abdicated\u00a0following a 36-year on the throne.<\/p>\n
Grand Duke Henri’s life has been one of royal privilege and extraordinary glamour, with international visits and evenings spent with presidents and princesses. Yet at the heart of it all has been the unwavering support of his wife, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, whom he married in 1981.<\/p>\n
