Today, the rehearsals for Eurovision 2026 continue in Vienna. Countries rehearsing on Day 3 include Bulgaria<\/a>, Azerbaijan<\/a>, Romania<\/a>, Luxembourg, Czechia, Armenia and Switzerland. The fourth to rehearse today is Luxembourg\u2019s Eva Marija.<\/p>\n

What did we learn about Eva Marija\u2019s staging?<\/p>\n

After winning the Luxembourg Song Contest, Eva Marija returns with \u201cMother Nature\u201d, but the Eurovision version feels bigger, more detailed and clearly adapted for a larger stage.<\/p>\n

The concept remains clear from the start. The performance transforms the arena into a living, breathing environment, with visuals that revolve around nature and growth. Instead of static imagery, everything feels in motion, elements appear, evolve and respond to the performance as it unfolds.<\/p>\n

Eva Marija isn\u2019t just standing within that world, she\u2019s actively interacting with it. The staging suggests a connection between performer and environment, with each movement reinforcing the idea that she\u2019s part of the world she\u2019s presenting, not separate from it.<\/p>\n

Visually, the styling supports that identity. Earthy tones remain central to her look, keeping continuity with the national final, but the outfit itself has changed. The addition of a flowing, layered dress adds movement and softness, giving her a more ethereal presence on stage.<\/p>\n

Eva uses the space fully, moving across the stage rather than staying fixed in one position. The choreography is less about precision and more about freedom, matching the organic theme of the performance.<\/p>\n

Who is Eva Marija?<\/p>\n

Eva Marija Puc is a 20-year-old singer and violinist born in Luxembourg to Slovenian parents. Eva showed promise in music from a young age, going on to study at the well-respected Conservatoire de Luxembourg. She is currently in her final year of studying songwriting in London. She has released songs since 2021, with her Eurovision song \u201cMother Nature\u201d being the first to chart in Luxembourg itself.<\/p>\n

Luxembourg\u2019s Eurovision Journey<\/p>\n

Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with their first entries being \u201cNe crois pas\u201d and \u201cLes Amants de minuit\u201d, both performed by Mich\u00e8le Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 38 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times \u2013 in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.<\/p>\n

Luxembourg\u2019s latest participation came in Basel in 2025. Laura Thorn represented Luxembourg with the song \u201cLa poup\u00e9e monte le son\u201d, qualifying in seventh place. In the Grand Final, Luxembourg finished 22nd, receiving 47 points: 23 from the national juries, and 24 from the televoters.<\/p>\n
