Responding to a question from Democratic Party (DP) MP Marc Hansen, Frieden emphasised the government\u2019s intention to continue sending Luxembourgish entries to the international competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Frieden highlighted that Eurovision offers a valuable opportunity to increase Luxembourg\u2019s visibility on the European stage and allows the country\u2019s music industry to showcase its talent abroad. Current discussions are underway with all parties involved in organising the Luxembourg Song Contest, and the Prime Minister stated that the focus for the next edition will be on ensuring the national cultural scene feels actively included.<\/p>\n<p>RTL Luxembourg\u2019s press releasse continues to read:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It is important to ensure that this truly gives a boost to Luxembourgish singers\u201d, Frieden said. He praised the excellent collaboration between RTL and Rockhal in running the selection process and announced his intention to propose government support for Luxembourg\u2019s participation again next year. According to Frieden, organisational, artistic, and financial questions still need to be resolved by the working group, but he is confident that a solution can be found.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Luxembourg\u2019s entry, \u201cMother Nature\u201d performed by Eva Marija, failed to reach the Eurovision final. The 2024 edition marked the Grand Duchy\u2019s return to Eurovision after a 21-year absence, with the country finishing 13th in the semi-final this year after placing 22nd last year.<\/p>\n<p>Luxembourg at Eurovision<\/p>\n<p>Luxembourg is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest and has won the competition five times. In 2024 the Grand Duchy returned to the contest after a 30 year hiatus.
