Vi\u0146a projekt\u0113t\u0101s \u0113kas veido neat\u0146emamu R\u012bgas un citu Latvijas pils\u0113tu vizu\u0101lo identit\u0101ti, kalpojot ne tikai k\u0101 arhitekt\u016bras pieminek\u013ci, bet ar\u012b k\u0101 liecinieki laikmeta garamant\u0101m un P\u0113k\u0161\u0113na daudzpus\u012bgajam talantam. Arhitekta dai\u013crade aptver gan 19. gadsimta eklektisma stilu, gan j\u016bgendstila uzplaukumu 20. gadsimta s\u0101kum\u0101, demonstr\u0113jot vi\u0146a sp\u0113ju str\u0101d\u0101t da\u017e\u0101dos, pat \u013coti at\u0161\u0137ir\u012bgos arhitekt\u016bras virzienos. Vi\u0146a ce\u013c\u0161 veda no laukiem uz R\u012bgu, kur 1875. gad\u0101 vi\u0146\u0161 uzs\u0101ka studijas R\u012bgas Politehnikum\u0101, s\u0101kotn\u0113ji apg\u016bstot in\u017eenierzin\u0101tnes, bet v\u0113l\u0101k piev\u0113r\u0161oties arhitekt\u016brai.
