Thrive Tribe kicks off three-year EAV defence distribution deal targeting NATO member states
EAV must generate US$5m in Year 1 and US$15m by Year 2 to retain exclusivity
EAV has secured millions of dollars in Canadian government defence work over the past 18 months.
Special Report: Thrive Tribe Technologies has kicked off a three-year exclusive distribution agreement with Canadian defence contractor Effective Acceleration Ventures (EAV), targeting military customers across NATO member states.
The deal opens a new channel for its WooBoard and REFFIND workforce platforms into military markets across NATO member states.
The agreement appoints EAV as Thrive Tribe Technologies (ASX:1TT) exclusive distribution partner targeting armed forces, military organisations, troops and personnel of NATO member states.
EAV is an established Canadian defence supplier and services contractor. It has experience in military procurement, logistics and talent acquisition.
EAV’s procurement activities include parts for fighter, bomber and cargo aircraft. It also supplies naval equipment, high-precision optical equipment, and telecommunications assets.
It has also executed millions of dollars in Canadian government defence contracts over the past 18 months.
Commercial targets put numbers around the deal
The agreement comes with substantial turnover thresholds.
EAV must generate at least US$5 million in turnover under the agreement by the end of Year 1 and at least US$15 million by the end of Year 2 to retain exclusivity.
EAV will receive 20% of revenue under the agreement, with the balance going to 1TT before associated costs.
EAV will lead the push into the defence market, including customer engagement and navigating procurement.
The company will also support tenders and proposals as opportunities progress.
1TT will handle the technology side, including developing and modernising WooBoard and REFFIND, along with implementation, security and ongoing support.
Each deployment will be tailored to the customer’s workforce, operating environment and specific security and privacy requirements.
First proposed application takes shape
A key initial milestone has already been reached, with an agreement entered into with a local execution partner for the first proposed application.
That would involve an eight-week residential program in Australia for volunteer US military veterans, including baseline and completion assessments followed by 30, 60 and 90-day follow-ups.
With local execution capability now in place, 1TT and its partners are ready to progress customer-specific pilot planning.
There are still important gates ahead.
Any pilot will still require customer contracting and procurement, along with the necessary clinical, ethics, security and privacy approvals.
The proposed pilot would assess feasibility, safety and participant experience, as well as preliminary outcomes. It is not designed to establish clinical efficacy.
No customer contract has been secured yet, and there is no guaranteed revenue from the pilot.
Taking enterprise software into defence
1TT announced the relaunch of WooBoard and REFFIND into enterprise and government workforce markets, including defence, in May.
The platforms are being redesigned around military requirements – targeting areas including troop recognition, secure communications, workforce productivity, mental health and wellbeing and HR support for deployed personnel.

1TT has said that it plans to expand WooBoard beyond employee recognition into a broader wellbeing and readiness platform for defence personnel.
The platform would support troops before, during and after deployment. It would cover areas such as mental fitness, morale, and recovery.
It is also being designed to work in low-bandwidth and offline environments. And rather than replacing existing military health services, WooBoard would connect personnel with them.
Development will happen in stages, with the platform tested and assessed along the way.
Not all of the proposed features are complete or ready for deployment yet.
A specialised slice of a growing market
The broader employee communication and experience platform market is growing, with 1TT targeting the specialised defence and military segment.
There’s also a much bigger shift underway in wellbeing technology.
The global mental health technology market is projected to grow from roughly US$12 billion in 2026 to more than US$56 billion by 2035, while mental health and PTSD applications are forecast to be among the fastest growing areas of military telemedicine.
That growth is playing out alongside rising defence expenditure.
NATO member states agreed at the 2025 NATO Summit to lift defence investment to 5% of GDP annually by 2035.
European Allies and Canada increased combined defence expenditure by close to 20% in 2025.
For 1TT, the strategy is to position its workforce technology where those trends meet – rising defence budgets and growing investment in the readiness, retention and wellbeing of military personnel.
AirAsia and Disney are among enterprise clients that have previously piloted 1TT’s product suite.
The defence push could open up several revenue streams for 1TT.
These include software subscriptions, implementation and support, as well as paid pilot programs.
The EAV agreement provides the distribution channel, but individual defence contracts will still need to work through applicable procurement processes.
The arrangement does not constitute NATO endorsement or give either party authority to bypass public procurement requirements.
