\u201cFor the past five years there has been constant persecution and terror against the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, the whole time met with silence or a benevolent attitude from what we euphemistically call the international community,\u201d Vucic said in the Instagram video.<\/p>\n
The president also cited the figures the letter relies on: more than 800 ethnically motivated attacks on Serbs over the past five years and 257 Serbs arrested.<\/p>\n

The letter also mentions a conversation between the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Milan Mojsilovic, and the KFOR commander (whom N1 identifies as Uzkan Ultas), which Vucic described as \u201cvery difficult and bad.\u201d As a last resort, should the situation fail to improve, he raised the possibility of calling a special UN Security Council session on Kosovo and Metohija.<\/p>\n
When Does Vucic Expect Brussels to Respond?<\/p>\n
Speaking to reporters on Friday, August 21, the president gave a timeframe. He said he expects a response by Monday or Tuesday and believes Rutte will call him on the phone.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat kind of answer I would like to hear is clear to everyone, and whether I will get it, I believe I will. By Monday, Tuesday. I believe Rutte will call me on the phone so we can talk,\u201d Vucic told reporters.<\/p>\n
He added that he is certain he will receive a response. \u201cBut I am quite certain I will get a response.
