The aircraft were flying with their radar transponders switched on but without flight plans, whilst maintaining contact with the Regional Flight Control Centre (RFCC).<\/p>\n<p>On 14 July, NATO air policing fighter jets identified an Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft that had taken off from the Kaliningrad region and returned. The aircraft was flying with its transponder switched off, without a flight plan, and was not maintaining radio contact with air traffic control.<\/p>\n<p class=\"related-news\">Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/en\/news\/4013574\/sikorsky-warned-that-russia-is-preparing-a-provocation-details\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Russia may be preparing provocation using Ukrainian drones, &#8211; Sikorski<\/a><\/p>\n<p> Other cases <\/p>\n<p>On the same day, NATO <a href=\"https:\/\/censor.net\/ua\/tag\/50059\/vynyschuvach\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fighter jets<\/a> identified an Il-76 transport aircraft flying from mainland Russia to the Kaliningrad region.
