NATO forces will rapidly deploy additional military capabilities to Lithuania if Russian provocations in the region lead to a critical security situation, according to Deividas Matulionis, the president\u2019s chief national security adviser, reports LRT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Naus\u0117da\u2019s adviser, the threat of Russian provocations in the Baltic region and other parts of Europe is indeed rapidly increasing.<\/p>\n

They could occur in the near future, so Alliance members are seriously preparing for various scenarios.<\/p>\n
