The international attention generated by NATO<\/a>\u2019s July summit<\/a> in Ankara<\/a> should be converted into sustained tourism demand, the head of the Ankara Tourism Association has said.<\/p>\n Berker B\u00fclb\u00fclo\u011flu said the July 7-8 gathering demonstrated the capital\u2019s capacity to host diplomatic meetings, congresses and other international events.<\/p>\n \u201cAnkara did not merely host world leaders at the NATO summit. It also demonstrated its strength as a city of diplomacy, congresses and international events,\u201d B\u00fclb\u00fclo\u011flu said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe must now turn this global attention into lasting tourism demand.\u201d<\/p>\n He said Ankara\u2019s hotels, congress centers, diplomatic institutions, transport infrastructure and trained workforce provided a strong reference for attracting future conferences, business meetings and diplomatic gatherings.<\/p>\n B\u00fclb\u00fclo\u011flu proposed establishing an \u201cAnkara Tourism Digital Dashboard\u201d to monitor online searches, flight demand, hotel inquiries, social media reach and their conversion into bookings.<\/p>\n He also called for multilingual campaigns aimed at people who viewed summit-related content or searched for Ankara online.
