RespectFarms, in collaboration with the Province of Zuid-Holland, will host the first Cell Farmers Symposium at the Provinciehuis Zuid-Holland in The Hague on June 4, 2026. The one-day event will bring together stakeholders from agritech, cellular agriculture, food policy, research, and investment to address the industrial and agricultural integration of cellular cultivation.
The symposium is specifically designed to engage farmers and agricultural technology companies as active participants in the transition to cell-based production. The agenda will cover new business models for agricultural stakeholders, the technical and economic requirements for scaling up, and the regulatory frameworks needed to enable broader implementation.
South Holland as a European hub for cellular agriculture
The Province of Zuid-Holland is using the event to position the region as a centre for cellular agriculture in Europe. Key issues on the regional agenda include the development of appropriate infrastructure, strategic partnerships, and the role that regions like Zuid-Holland can play in actively shaping the sector’s trajectory.
RespectFarms intends to establish the Cell Farmers Symposium as an annual international platform where agritech and cellular cultivation converge. The inaugural edition runs from 12:30 to 17:00 local time. Registration is available via the official registration form.
