Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019 and 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, 2024 Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and 2024-2025 Jeep® Wrangler vehicles that may have been equipped with improperly programmed Central Vision Processing Modules (CVPMs).

In some cases, the modules may also have been contaminated with debris during machining. These conditions can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying, resulting in a failure to meet federal rear visibility requirements and potentially increasing the risk of a crash while backing up. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 111, “Rear Visibility.”

The affected population consists of just 16 vehicles in total, including (3) Chrysler Pacifica models built between January 16, 2019, and August 24, 2023, (3) Ram 1500 models built between September 18, 2023, and January 30, 2024, (9) Jeep Wrangler models built between November 4, 2023, and March 26, 2025, and (1) Ram 2500 built on February 9, 2024.

Stellantis identified the suspect vehicles through supplier records, engineering release documentation, and vehicle production records. Vehicles built outside the identified production periods, not equipped with the affected CVPM, or that properly displayed the rearview camera image at the time of first sale, are not included in the recall.

Recall Chronology:

On February 20, 2025, the FCA US LLC (“FCA US”) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (“TSRC”) organization opened an investigation into a potential issue related to rearview cameras not displaying in some 2024-2025 MY Jeep Wrangler, 2024 MY Ram 1500, 2024 MY Ram 2500, and 2019-2023 MY Chrysler Pacifica vehicles.
From February 2025 through November 2025, FCA US TSRC reviewed warranty data, field records, and customer assistance records to understand potential customer consequence and vehicle scope.
From November 2025 through April 2026, FCA US TSRC held regular meetings with FCA US Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Operations to understand all potential failure modes related to CVPM performance.
On April 29, 2026, FCA US TSRC organization recognized that a vehicle build issue existed on certain vehicles related to a loss of rearview camera image, potentially resulting in a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 111.
On May 14, 2026, FCA US determined, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, that a noncompliance to a FMVSS exists in certain vehicles.
