Stellantis is voluntarily recalling approximately 955,085 vehicles worldwide because a radio software issue could prevent the rearview camera image from appearing on the vehicle’s media screen.

The recall covers select 2026 and 2027 model-year vehicles sold under the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram brands. According to the automaker, the problem can occur when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, leaving the driver without the camera view normally displayed on the center screen.

Stellantis says it is unaware of any accidents or injuries connected to the software issue.

Software Update Will Be Delivered Remotely

Owners will not necessarily need to schedule a dealership appointment to complete the repair. Stellantis plans to provide an over-the-air (OTA) software update for affected vehicles across all four brands.

Once the update becomes available, a notification should appear on the vehicle’s media screen. Owners can then follow the on-screen instructions to install the revised software.

Until the update is completed, drivers are advised to check whether the rearview camera image appears before backing up. If it does not, they should use the vehicle’s rearview and side mirrors while remaining aware of pedestrians, vehicles, and other nearby obstacles.
