The Originals Are Waiting in 1666: Amsterdam
The hunt is officially on! Panache Digital Games has launched 1666: Amsterdam in Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store for $29.99 USD, giving players the chance to step into a dark and mysterious version of Amsterdam.
Alongside the Early Access launch, the studio has released a brand-new trailer. It offers a closer look at the game’s supernatural world, characters, combat, and eerie forces lurking throughout the city.
In the game, players take on the role of Noa Brooklyn, known as the Collector. Raised by the Zaindaris, Noa has been tasked with tracking down The Originals. They are ancient beings who have lived for centuries while abusing the power and time they were given.
The investigation begins during the day, as Noa explores Amsterdam, identifies the Originals hiding behind human identities, and marks her targets. But when night arrives and the Esbat begins, everything changes. The Originals reveal their true forms, turning the hunt into a dangerous battle involving witchcraft, spellcasting, strategy, and supernatural abilities.
Noa also has an unusual companion. Players can switch between her and Aaron, a character summoned from 1999 who now experiences the world through the eyes of a cat. Aaron brings a completely different playstyle, allowing players to explore hidden paths and approach situations in unexpected ways.
1666: Amsterdam is still in its development phase, and player feedback will play an important role during Early Access. Panache Digital Games will continue refining the experience based on what players discover and share.
With a mysterious city to explore and supernatural enemies waiting in the shadows, 1666: Amsterdam is definitely an intriguing adventure worth diving into.
