Let’s face it, when someone like Molly-Mae Hague champions a skincare product, you can guarantee we’ll be dashing to the website to snap it up. This rings true for Tatcha’s Dewy Skin Cream, a luxurious ‘line-plumping’ moisturiser that the Maebe founder has disclosed as the key to her ‘fresh’ complexion, which appears remarkably radiant and flawless in her no-makeup selfies.
Unveiling the product behind her fresh complexion, Molly-Mae posted on Instagram some time back, with a caption stating: “A fresh-faced Thursday. As always, using @tatcha Dewy Skin Cream”. Unsurprisingly, admirers of the former Love Islander were swift to remark on how ‘stunning’ she appeared using just the Tatcha cream.
While it represents quite a considerable outlay at £69 for a full-sized pot (although its travel size begins at £26), Tatcha’s Dewy Skin Cream enjoys genuine popularity among skincare enthusiasts, including our own Bethan Shufflebotham who, inspired by Molly-Mae, tested the cream and it swiftly became a regular repurchase.
Boasting a 4.8-star rating and exceeding 7,300 reviews, it’s reportedly so sought-after that one unit is sold every minute. It’s formulated with Japanese botanicals (including Japanese Purple Rice and the complex Hadasei-3TM) demonstrated to diminish the appearance of parched, fine lines in as little as two weeks.
It’s also brimming with hydration powerhouses including Biomimetic Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid and Red Algae. These ingredients combine to deliver antioxidant defence against early ageing, while enhancing skin barrier function, locking in hydration, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles, as reported by Manchester Evening News.

Having said that, Bethan observed: “But after using it for the last few months, it actually works out around £23 per month if applied once daily, as a little goes a long way with this cream.”

Meanwhile, another favourite among skincare enthusiasts is Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream. Though another premium purchase at £79 for a 50ml jar, a modest amount goes a considerable distance (there are over 100 applications in the pot). Celebrated as a ‘facelift in a jar’, it’s formulated with a ‘world first’ RecoverstemTM Peptide, Cushion + Lift Mesh Technology and skin barrier-boosting Ectoin that revitalises the appearance of the skin and addresses the look of 10 visible signs of skin ageing.
While Tatcha’s Dewy Cream has proved enormously popular with beauty enthusiasts, with one glowing testimonial stating: “I absolutely love Tatcha Dewy Cream! It’s so plumping, hydrating, and perfect for my dry skin. Its silky-smooth texture is everything, and the bounce and glow it gives after application are unreal. Another customer commented: “I have tried hundreds of creams over my 74 years, and after 3 days [of using Tatcha], a very noticeable difference. Skin looks plumped and soft, and some of the wrinkles have gone. Worth every penny, believe me.”
A further reviewer enthused: “Hands down the best skin cream out there! I have tried the very expensive creams to the least expensive! The Dewy Skin cream is the only cream that works for me! No breakouts and keeps my wrinkles away!”.

Not everyone was quite as taken with the cream, however; one three-star review noted that it may not be suitable for all skin types. Sharing how she suffers from ‘dry skin that’s prone to blackheads and acne’, the shopper stated: “This product has a nice skin feel, but did worsen breakouts. When I used this during the day, I had new whiteheads on my forehead and chin. My skin was definitely softer, but instead of Dewy, I was just greasy.”
That being said, for the most part, numerous beauty enthusiasts have commended Tatcha’s Dewy Skin Cream, claiming their skin has ‘never felt or looked better’.
