Wizz Air has announced the arrival of its 200th Airbus A321neo aircraft, an Airbus A321XLR.<\/p>\n
Since taking delivery of its first Airbus A321neo in 2019, Wizz Air has steadily expanded its fleet with one of the most advanced and efficient single-aisle aircraft in the world.<\/p>\n
Over the past seven years, this journey has transformed the airline\u2019s operational capabilities, enabling higher capacity and enhanced passenger comfort.<\/p>\n
Upon completion of current delivery, Wizz Air\u2019s neo fleet is expected to consist of 6 A320neo, 8 A321XLR, and 186 A321neo aircraft.<\/p>\n
The A321neo\u2019s \u201cbig gauge\u201d design\u2014offering significantly more seats than previous-generation aircraft\u2014has been central to Wizz Air\u2019s ultra-low-cost model.<\/p>\n
By maximising efficiency per flight, the airline continues to deliver affordable travel options while reducing its emission intensity.<\/p>\n
Powered by next-generation Pratt & Whitney engines, the A321neo delivers up to 20% lower fuel consumption and less CO\u2082 emissions per seat compared to earlier models.<\/p>\n
This efficiency not only supports Wizz Air\u2019s sustainability goals but also contributes to quieter operations, reducing noise impact for communities near airports.<\/p>\n
