This week, Stellantis announced it is officially joining the World Class Manufacturing Association (WCMA)<\/a>, a move designed to help the company sharpen its manufacturing operations on a global scale.<\/p>\n

The membership was recently approved by the WCMA Board of Directors and represents another step in Stellantis\u2019 broader effort to improve factory performance while maintaining high quality standards across its worldwide manufacturing network.<\/p>\n

For those unfamiliar with the organization, the World Class Manufacturing Association focuses on helping manufacturers improve productivity by reducing waste, streamlining processes, and improving overall efficiency. The system is heavily based on lean manufacturing principles, something Stellantis has already been implementing across many of its facilities for years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Building Better Vehicles More Efficiently<\/p>\n

By becoming part of the WCMA, Stellantis will now participate in collaborative working groups and strategic programs alongside other global manufacturers and industrial leaders. The goal is to exchange ideas, share proven manufacturing methods, and continue refining production systems.<\/p>\n

The move comes as automakers worldwide face increasing pressure to improve quality, reduce costs, and speed up production development while balancing the transition toward electrification and advanced technologies.<\/p>\n
