\n\tPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India and the Netherlands are collaborating to build a reliable, transparent and resilient supply chain architecture as the world grapples with an era of overlapping global crises.<\/p>\n
\n\tAddressing members of the Indian diaspora during a community event in The Hague as part of his ongoing five-nation diplomatic tour, Modi described the current decade as a \u201cdecade of disasters,\u201d citing a succession of global disruptions ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic to armed conflicts and the emerging energy crisis.<\/p>\n
\n\tSpeaking about the challenges confronting the international community, Modi said humanity is passing through an exceptionally turbulent phase marked by uncertainty and economic stress.<\/p>\n
\n\tHe noted that the world first battled the coronavirus pandemic, followed by geopolitical conflicts and rising energy concerns, creating a chain of crises that continue to test global stability.<\/p>\n
\n\tWarning of the consequences of inaction, the Prime Minister said that unless the international community responds swiftly and collectively, decades of developmental progress could be undermined, pushing millions back into economic hardship and poverty.<\/p>\n
\n\tHighlighting the growing importance of economic resilience, Modi said nations across the world are increasingly focusing on strengthening supply networks, and in this context, India and the Netherlands are working together to create supply chains that are secure, trustworthy, transparent and equipped for future challenges.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Prime Minister also underlined India\u2019s evolving global role, describing the country as a land of expanding opportunities that balances technological advancement with human-centric values.<\/p>\n
\n\tHe said 21st-century India is emerging as a nation driven equally by innovation and humanity, while successfully preserving its ancient civilisational roots alongside rapid modernisation.<\/p>\n
\n\tModi\u2019s remarks came during his interaction with the Indian community in the Netherlands, where he also emphasised the growing strategic, economic and cultural partnership between the two nations.<\/p>\n
\n\tIndia and Netherlands have been steadily expanding cooperation across trade, technology, logistics and innovation sectors.<\/p>\n
