{"id":13808,"date":"2026-05-19T08:43:06","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T08:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/13808\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T08:43:06","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T08:43:06","slug":"stellantis-to-launch-groundbreaking-electric-car-in-2028-the-irish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/13808\/","title":{"rendered":"Stellantis to launch \u2018groundbreaking\u2019 electric car in 2028 \u2013 The Irish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Stellantis has announced a new \u2018E-Car\u2019 project which will see the group create a \u2018small and affordable\u2019 electric car by 2028.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The group, which owns brands such as Peugeot, Vauxhall and Citroen, says that the E-Car will be built in the \u2018true tradition of European \u2018people\u2019s mobility\u2019\u2019, and will build it at the firm\u2019s Pomigliano plant in Italy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">With the \u2018E\u2019 in \u2018E-Car\u2019 standing for \u2018European, Emotion, Electric and Environmental friendliness\u2019, the new model will tap into the compact EV market and rival the likes of the new Renault Twingo and Hyundai Inster, alongside Chinese-made alternatives such as the BYD Dolphin Surf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa said: \u201cThe E-Car is a concept that finds its natural match in the small car success that runs deep in our European Stellantis DNA.
