Their match in Houston on June 20 will be no different.<\/p>\n<p>On that Saturday, as many as thousands of fans of the Netherlands&#8217; soccer team, officially called the Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbalbond (KNVB), will sport orange outfits and march from Rice University Stadium to NRG Stadium on Saturday, June 20.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe strength of Oranje lies in the connection between the team and the fans,&#8221; Marianne van Leeuwen, director of professional football for KNVB, said in a press release. &#8220;We are so looking forward to the matchdays and the unique Oranje experience we create together. Live entertainment will begin at 8 a.m., and the march will start at 8:45, led by the Oranje Bus, a staple for Netherlands&#8217; fans, which has been brought to North America from Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Though street closures will happen on a rolling basis, according to the press release, representatives from HPD did not immediately provide details on those closures and the coordination of the march to Houston Public Media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe arrival of the Oranje fans is going to bring incredible energy to our city,&#8221; Chris Canetti, president of Houston&#8217;s World Cup host committee, said in a statement. &#8220;Houston welcomes thousands of Dutch supporters with open arms and cannot wait for all the festivities ahead.
