Our team just released a report on the one little-known company, called an &#8220;Indispensable Monopoly&#8221; providing the critical technology Nvidia and Intel both need. <a href=\"https:\/\/api.fool.com\/infotron\/infotrack\/click?apikey=35527423-a535-4519-a07f-20014582e03e&amp;impression=f14fe61a-b189-4597-8e34-ce2a78da5f0d&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fool.com%2Fmms%2Fmark%2Fa-sa-ai-boom-nvidias%3Faid%3D10891%26source%3Disaediica0000068%26ftm_cam%3Dsa-ai-boom%26ftm_veh%3Dtop_incontent_pitch_feed_partner%26ftm_pit%3D18906&amp;utm_source=globeandmail&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=article&amp;referring_guid=f9b0d6f9-4b6f-4b3d-8fdf-e30c4c0f6519\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Continue \u00bb<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" alt=\"Child examining a semiconductor chip.\" src=\"https:\/\/barchart-news-media-prod.aws.barchart.com\/FC\/f8c93a1abae19d67415dc55da09c6c0c\/%3Furl%3Dhttps%253a%252f%252fg.foolcdn.com%252feditorial%252fimages%252f871112%252fchild-examining-a-semiconductor-chip.jpg%26amp%3Bw%3D700\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\">Image source: Getty Images.<\/p>\n<p>Why UBS loves ASML<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s no mystery why UBS would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/terms\/p\/price-target\/?utm_source=globeandmail&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=article&amp;referring_guid=f9b0d6f9-4b6f-4b3d-8fdf-e30c4c0f6519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">raising price targets<\/a> on ASML today: The reason is rising demand for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/investing\/stock-market\/market-sectors\/information-technology\/ai-stocks\/?utm_source=globeandmail&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=article&amp;referring_guid=f9b0d6f9-4b6f-4b3d-8fdf-e30c4c0f6519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">artificial intelligence<\/a> chips.<\/p>\n<p>UBS is convinced AI chip supplies are tightening amid rising demand, driving up prices and &#8220;driving a more prolonged investment cycle extending into 2028.&#8221; As arguably the key provider of machines for manufacturing semiconductor chips, ASML should directly benefit from increased investment in these machines &#8212; which is to say increased buying of the machines by manufacturers such as Intel(NASDAQ: INTC) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company(NYSE: TSM).<\/p>\n<p>UBS argues that ASML can produce enough machines to grow semiconductor supplies by 50% next year, and that ASML itself should be able to grow sales strongly over the next 12 to 18 months.<\/p>\n<p>In UBS&#8217;s opinion, this makes ASML its &#8220;top sector pick&#8221; in semiconductors.<\/p>\n<p>What it means for ASML stock<\/p>\n<p>Which all sounds logical, but&#8230; ASML stock has roughly doubled in price over the past year. Is it still cheap enough to buy?<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s where I start to worry UBS is getting off track.
