Delta Goodrem<\/a>\u00a0turned heads on Saturday as she performed at Eurovision in Concert at AFAS Live in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n

The Australian singer, 41, delivered a commanding performance as part of the annual showcase, which sees this year’s Eurovision Song Contest hopefuls preview their entries in front of fans ahead of the renowned annual music competition in May.<\/a><\/p>\n

Dressed in a striking floor-length gold gown, Delta made an immediate impression as she stepped onto the stage, with the metallic number featuring a draped halter-neck design which clung to her figure before falling to the floor.<\/p>\n

Her signature blonde locks were styled in loose waves, cascading over her shoulders, while her glowing make-up look complemented the dramatic stage lighting.<\/p>\n

The Born To Try hitmaker appeared fully immersed in the performance, captured in a series of expressive moments \u2014 from belting out notes with her eyes closed to stretching her arms wide as she worked the crowd.<\/p>\n

The Born To Try hitmaker delighted an intimate crowd as she performed her track Eclipse, along with a selection of her greatest hits, under a bridge in Camden.<\/p>\n

Eclipse is the track Delta will perform as Australia\u2019s representative at this year\u2019s Eurovision<\/a> Song Contest.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Delta was using the show as a road test for the track, revealing that it was the first time Eclipse had been performed live for a UK crowd.<\/p>\n

The former Neighbours star looked very much in her element, giving a masterful performance of the song on a makeshift stage.<\/p>\n

She cut a very chic figure for the show, stepping out in a striking, brown faux fur coat.<\/p>\n

Delta also wore an eye-catching plaid shirt that featured a long, matching scarf panel attached to the neckline, giving a layered effect.<\/p>\n

The veteran performer was announced as Australia’s Eurovision hopeful in March.<\/p>\n

The former Neighbours star said she was over the moon with the announcement.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I’m so honoured to represent Australia on one of the biggest and most iconic music stages in the world at Eurovision,’ she said in a statement.<\/p>\n

‘As a singer-songwriter, music has been my lifelong passion. I’ve always loved the creativity, individuality, and joy Eurovision brings, connecting and uniting people across the globe through music; the universal language.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I can’t wait to arrive in Vienna and make Australia proud.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Australia’s Eurovision creative director Paul Clarke said that Delta was the ‘perfect choice’ to carry the country’s hopes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Delta Goodrem is a once-in-a-generation artist. Her elegant songwriting and unmatched vocal ability make her the perfect choice to represent Australia and eclipse the competition at the 70th anniversary of Eurovision in Vienna,’ he said.<\/p>\n

‘Her song is a bold step towards the next stage of her worldwide career, and we are excited to bring her vision to life on the stage in May.’<\/p>\n

Speculation about a Delta Eurovision appearance has been swirling for some time now \u2013 something the singer addressed in 2023.<\/p>\n

‘I’ve always loved watching Eurovision, it’s such a great moment in time,’ she told Yahoo Lifestyle.<\/p>\n

‘Wherever I’ve been in certain moments of time just hasn’t crossed paths with that in whatever cycle of music I was in.<\/p>\n

‘I’ve always been just running in my own race and whatever I’m meant to sort of cross paths with I’ll move towards that if a time feels right.’<\/p>\n
