The joint solution is designed to provide predictable real-time communication, simplified integration, and scalable zonal architectures for next-generation automotive electronic systems.

The platform combines NXP’s S32 automotive processing platform with TrustMotion’s MotionWise middleware to enable deterministic communication and scheduling across zonal vehicle networks. Built around S32-based zonal controllers, the system is intended to address one of the key challenges facing automotive OEMs transitioning to SDV architectures: maintaining deterministic timing across distributed compute and networking components.

According to the companies, the solution supports automated topology discovery, scheduling generation, configuration, and deployment through a continuous integration workflow. By integrating deterministic communication and scheduling directly into a validated hardware-and-software platform, the companies aim to reduce late-stage integration risks and accelerate deployment timelines for modern vehicle architectures.

Automakers face increasing complexity in delivering predictable latency and low jitter across in-vehicle networks as the automotive industry transitions from distributed, domain-based electronic control unit (ECU) architectures to zonal and cross-domain electrical/electronic systems. According to NXP and Quanta, the new platform is designed to deliver end-to-end determinism across hosts and network infrastructure, improving system-level quality of service and easing development and validation.

The solution integrates multiple NXP technologies, including S32 automotive processors, SJA1110 time-sensitive networking (TSN) Ethernet switches, CAN and LIN connectivity, and scalable power management devices. MotionWise middleware provides deterministic scheduling and communication capabilities intended to support latency-sensitive automotive functions such as audio over Ethernet, high-performance computing integration, real-time remote control processing, and smart energy networking.

The companies stated that the platform’s plug-and-play development approach supports automated configuration, CI/CD deployment workflows, and runtime optimization, allowing OEMs to scale a common zonal architecture across multiple vehicle classes and electronic architectures.

As part of their ongoing collaboration, NXP and Quanta are also working toward future alignment with the NXP CoreRide zonal reference system to support broader SDV integration initiatives.

The deterministic zonal networking solution is currently available to automotive OEMs and ecosystem partners, with demonstrations already running on Quanta development platforms and additional showcases planned throughout 2026.

NXP, Quanta Simplify Deployment of Zonal Vehicle Architectures NXP Semiconductors has announced a collaboration with Quanta to…

[62
10079,166,10080,3606
post-18332","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-nxp","tag-automotive-transportation","tag-nxp","tag-processors-controllers","tag-software
["GET
