President Donald Trump\u2019s critics were clearly overreaching when they charged him<\/a> with war crimes for his attacks on Iran. \u00a0And now it\u2019s becoming obvious that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s haters have been doing the same to him.<\/p>\n

This month, the International Criminal Court voted to begin disciplinary proceedings against its Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan \u2014 the man who filed arrest warrants<\/a> against Bibi and Defense Minister Yoav Gallan \u2014 over sexual-misconduct allegations.<\/p>\n

Those allegations only further undermine the war-crimes case.<\/p>\n

Of course, charges against Bibi & Co. never had a shred of legitimacy in the first place: They\u2019re based on Israel\u2019s entirely legitimate response to Hamas\u2019 barbaric Oct. 7, 2023, massacre.<\/p>\n

In fact, that response \u2014 a two-year war to eliminate terrorists who threatened to repeat their horrors if they ever got the chance \u2014 was a case study in humane warfare, featuring the lowest ratio in recent-war history of civilians-to-enemy-combatant deaths.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest that Khan filed the anti-Israel warrants only weeks<\/a> after colleagues confronted him with the sexual-misconduct allegations.<\/p>\n

One witness claims he quickly sought to blame Mossad for the charges.<\/p>\n

Yet if Khan truly believed the Israeli spy agency was involved, then he surely should\u2019ve recused himself from a war-crimes case against . . . Israel.<\/p>\n

That Khan \u201cspecifically blamed the Mossad for his problems shows he is fundamentally compromised and the investigation that he launched . . . in any normal legal system would be dismissed with extreme prejudice,\u201d law professor Euguene Kontorovich told Fox News Digital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fact that \u201csuch a politicized investigation would be allowed to proceed\u201d shows just \u201chow broken\u201d the ICC is.<\/p>\n

Of course, if Khan is guilty of \u201cnon-consensual sexual contact\u201d with an employee, as one probe found (though officials said it lacked sufficient evidence to prove that legally), and Mossad had nothing to do with it, he\u2019d know that.<\/p>\n

And his actions \u2014 and those of the ICC \u2014 surely would\u2019ve been motivated by nothing more than a desire to slam the Jewish state.<\/p>\n

Either way, it\u2019s clear America\u2019s refusal to join this putrid \u201ccourt\u201d has been the right move all along.<\/p>\n

As was Team Trump\u2019s decision to impose sanctions<\/a> on Khan and other ICC officials.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s hoping those disciplinary proceedings against him result in the kind of penalties he richly deserves \u2014 disbarment, maybe?<\/p>\n
