Market share rose to 6.6%, up 0.9 percentage points year over year, strengthening the company\u2019s position in a competitive environment. According to INEGI, the performance placed Stellantis sixth in national rankings, reflecting gains in both volume and market positioning.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Monthly execution contributed significantly to quarterly performance. In March, Stellantis sold 8,926 units, a 29% year-on-year increase, while market share reached 6.8%, up 1.4 percentage points. The company indicated that this strong monthly performance reinforced overall quarterly results and supported its improved ranking. The data suggest that short-term execution was a key driver of cumulative growth during the period.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Brand-level performance was a central contributor to results. RAM and Peugeot recorded strong sales, supporting both volume growth and market share expansion. These gains reflect sustained demand across multiple vehicle segments, particularly pickups and passenger vehicles. The company attributed this performance to a balanced and diversified portfolio aligned with evolving consumer preferences.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Stellantis said its <a href=\"https:\/\/clusterindustrial.com.mx\/stellantis-acelera-en-mexico-crece-19-en-el-primer-trimestre-de-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">commercial strategy<\/a> focused on product availability and consistent market execution. The company noted that its portfolio allowed it to respond effectively to changing demand conditions in Mexico, where competition continues to intensify. Growth in both sales and market share indicates a strong alignment between product offerings and market demand in the early months of the year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Product Strategy and Industrial Commitment<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Daniel Gonz\u00e1lez, CEO, Stellantis M\u00e9xico, outlined a strategy focused on expanding <a href=\"https:\/\/mexicobusiness.news\/automotive\/news\/stellantis-mexico-targets-75-share-ev-push\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">market<\/a> coverage and accelerating electrification. The company aims to reach 75% of the domestic market with a portfolio that will be 80% electrified by 2026. Stellantis plans to launch 12 new models as part of this strategy, positioning electrified vehicles at the core of its product roadmap.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The strategy was presented during the Stellar Autofest 2026 at Centro Citibanamex. Gonz\u00e1lez described the initiative as a long-term commitment to the country. \u201cWe have been present for 87 years and are part of Mexico\u2019s industrial history,\u201d he said. \u201cWhile some companies are closing plants, relocating production, or adopting a wait-and-see approach, we are continuing to invest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The company\u2019s industrial footprint in Mexico supports more than 17,000 families through a manufacturing network of eight plants located in Coahuila and the State of Mexico. This infrastructure includes a 50,000-square-meter parts distribution center and a dedicated technology center. Stellantis used the event to showcase its eight active brands in the country: Alfa Romeo, Dodge, FIAT, Jeep, Leapmotor, Maserati, Peugeot, and RAM.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Brand strategies illustrate a multi-segment approach. Jeep is advancing hybrid and electric models, including the Cherokee hybrid and the all-electric Recon. RAM continues to focus on the truck segment, while Dodge introduced a new Charger. FIAT and Alfa Romeo are targeting broader customer segments, while Maserati and Peugeot are expanding premium and hybrid offerings.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Stellantis is also expanding its manufacturing footprint in Mexico by assigning new production to <a href=\"https:\/\/expansion.mx\/empresas\/2025\/12\/07\/expansion-de-stellantis-mexico-modelos-y-plantas-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saltillo and Toluca<\/a>. The Saltillo complex will produce the RAM 1500, while Toluca will assemble the hybrid Jeep Cherokee and the electric Jeep Recon. This move supports the company\u2019s strategy to scale both production capacity and electrified vehicle output in the country.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">As part of its retail strategy, Stellantis has expanded into digital channels. The company has begun offering vehicles <a href=\"https:\/\/mexicobusiness.news\/automotive\/news\/stellantis-expands-digital-sales-mercado-libre\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">through Mercado Libre<\/a> in Mexico, reflecting broader shifts in automotive distribution models. Brands including Jeep, RAM, Dodge, FIAT, and Peugeot are now available on the platform, which connects consumers with manufacturers while maintaining transactions through authorized dealer networks.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Globally, Stellantis reported 1Q26 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.media.stellantis.com\/em-en\/corporate\/press\/stellantis-closed-the-first-quarter-of-2026-with-a-5-increase-in-sales-across-the-eu30-vehicle-market\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sales<\/a> of 696,676 vehicles in Europe, a 5% year-on-year increase. Market share rose by 0.21 percentage points to 17.5%, marking the highest quarterly level since early 2024.
