unveiled a new generation of its <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/delta-one-suite\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"11382\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Delta One<\/a> business-class suites as it increases its premium cabin footprint for its incoming <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/airbus-a350-1000\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"747\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Airbus A350-1000<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The airline also confirmed a major retrofit of its <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/airbus-a330-200\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"8534\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Airbus A330-200<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/airbus-a330-300\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"10129\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">A330-300<\/a> fleet, with new Delta One suites installed, as well as a full aircraft refresh introducing new cabin products across all classes.<\/p>\n<p>Delta said the upgrades are part of a more than $1 billion investment in its onboard product, with new interiors rolling out starting in 2027 and fitted to over 800 aircraft over the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>Delta\u2019s new Delta One suite on A350-1000 and A330 fleet<\/p>\n<p>More passengers will soon see updated Delta One sliding-door suites on new aircraft and older widebodies, with 3\u201d longer beds and larger screens, setting a new standard for a high-end long-haul experience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" charging, USB-C ports and Bluetooth connectivity<\/p>\n<p>Memory foam cushioning with a new pillow-top layer<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated storage for shoes and personal items<\/p>\n<p>Tactile seat controls inspired by luxury vehicles<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" together.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" Delta\u2019s flat-bed is the reason for choosing the cabin,\u201d said Mauricio Parise, vice president of Brand Experience at Delta Air Lines. \u201cThis led us to a new design that, when combined with our current mattress pad and luxury bedding from Missoni, makes for an incomparable sleep at 30,000 feet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New Delta One snack bar<\/p>\n<p>Delta is introducing a dedicated refreshment station for Delta One customers located at the main entryway on the A350-1000 and at the front of the A330-200\/300.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" deliberate about making it easy for customers to get what they need when they need it and offering a flight experience that best meets the needs of each customer. Whether you\u2019re working, travelling with kids or simply awake when others are sleeping \u2014 it\u2019s there for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A350-1000 to debut Delta\u2019s most premium-heavy layout with an at-home feel<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/airbus-a350-1000\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"747\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Airbus A350-1000<\/a> will be configured with roughly 50% premium seating as Delta focuses its strategy on higher-yield passengers, especially on long-haul international routes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img than 800 aircraft over the next five years. <\/p>\n<p>Delta describes its new design focus as making passengers feel at home in the skies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" sense of home and comfort when you\u2019re away,\u201d said Parise. \u201cThat was the driving factor behind every intentional design feature and investment we made in developing our brand new A350-1000 experience, which we extended through nose-to-tail upgrades of our A330-200\/300s and will continue to roll out across our fleet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" controls developed in collaboration with its Advisory Board on Disability &amp; Accessible Travel and an accessible lavatory included on each aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>A330 retrofit brings suites to older aircraft<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, Delta will retrofit its Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft with Delta One suites, replacing older business class seats.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" aircraft will also receive a full cabin refresh, including upgraded premium economy and economy seating with memory foam cushions, new in-flight entertainment systems, new cabin lighting themes personal items.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bigger screens and upgraded tech across all cabins<\/p>\n<p>Across both aircraft types, Delta is standardising its latest in-flight technology.<\/p>\n<p><img Parise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Premium passenger demand is strong in North America<\/p>\n<p>Passengers have gravitated towards premium cabins since the pandemic, with many travellers prioritising privacy, separation and comfort.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In its World Air Transport Statistics Report published in August of last year, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported that \u201cinternational premium class travel\u2014business and first class\u2014grew by 11.8%, outpacing growth in global economy travel of 11.5%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" passengers in 2024, compared to 5.6% growth in economy cabins.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Premium race heats up among US airlines<\/p>\n<p>Delta\u2019s investment in the <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/tag\/passenger-experience\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"507\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">passenger experience<\/a> reflects intensifying competition among US carriers to attract the growing segment of premium travellers.<\/p>\n<p>The airline said it expects 90% of its Delta One seats to feature suite doors by 2030\u2014positioning it as the largest operator of business class suites among US carriers.<\/p>\n<p>Delta\u2019s latest cabin reveal follows United Airlines\u2019 recent announcement of its own <a href=\"https:\/\/aerospaceglobalnews.com\/news\/united-airlines-coastliner-airbus-a321neo-premium-crj450\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">comprehensive premium cabin upgrades<\/a> as part of its 250-new-aircraft fleet modernisation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As US carriers prioritise premium seating to offset rising costs and maximise revenue, passengers are responding
