{"id":23396,"date":"2026-06-17T18:42:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T18:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/23396\/"},"modified":"2026-06-17T18:42:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T18:42:12","slug":"wayve-uber-and-stellantis-partner-to-deploy-level-4-robotaxis-globally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/netherlands\/23396\/","title":{"rendered":"Wayve, Uber and Stellantis partner to deploy Level 4 robotaxis globally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wayve.ai\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wayve<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/gb\/en\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Uber<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellantis.com\/en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stellantis<\/a> have announced a new partnership to deploy and scale Level 4 autonomous robotaxi services globally.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unveiled at MOVE 2026 which Zag attends in London, the agreement brings together Wayve\u2019s AI driving software, Stellantis\u2019 vehicle platforms and Uber\u2019s ride-hailing network.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding, it does not set a fixed timeline or financial terms but\u00a0 establishes a framework for further talks on technology development, licensing, production and vehicle procurement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the partnership, Stellantis will provide vehicles built on its L4-Ready Platforms, Wayve will supply its AI Driver technology and Uber will deploy the vehicles through its global mobility platform. The companies said they will now work on vehicle integration, testing, validation and deployment with the goal of launching autonomous services across Europe, North America and other markets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on stage, Wayve Co-Founder and CEO Alex Kendall said the collaboration reflects the company\u2019s long-term vision of building autonomous driving software that can operate across different vehicles and environments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI looked at London and said \u2018how do we build a system that can deal with the complexity of this city?\u2019 Now it feels like the industry is rallying around this approach, designed from the ground up for scale.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement builds on Wayve and Uber\u2019s existing <a href=\"https:\/\/zagdaily.com\/connected\/uber-and-wayve-launch-london-robotaxi-waitlist\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">plans to launch autonomous ride-hailing services in London<\/a> where the companies recently opened a public waitlist for robotaxi rides.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kendall said the partnership with Stellantis would help Wayve accelerate deployment by combining AI development with large-scale vehicle manufacturing. He argued that advances in AI models, simulation tools and validation systems have helped address many of the industry\u2019s earlier concerns around autonomous driving.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kendall described regulation as \u201ca really hard and challenging, important problem\u201d but said it was \u201cno longer a critical path to bringing autonomy at scale\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stellantis Chief Engineering and Technology Officer Ned Curic said that regulators increasingly recognise the potential safety benefits of autonomous systems compared with human drivers.
