Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA, EPA:STLA)<\/a>, Wayve, and Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE:UBER, XETRA:UT8)<\/a>\u00a0have announced a new partnership aimed at accelerating the global rollout of fully autonomous ride-hailing services, marking a significant step in the race to commercialize driverless mobility.<\/p>\n The agreement, disclosed Wednesday, outlines plans for the three companies to collaborate on the development and deployment of Level 4 (L4) robotaxis, vehicles capable of operating without human drivers under defined conditions.<\/p>\n The initiative combines Stellantis\u2019 vehicle manufacturing capabilities, Wayve\u2019s artificial intelligence driving software, and Uber\u2019s global ride-hailing platform.<\/p>\n Under the partnership, Stellantis will design and produce vehicles built on its \u201cL4-Ready Platforms,\u201d which include integrated sensor systems and engineering tailored for high-use autonomous operations. Wayve will supply its end-to-end AI driving system, designed to navigate complex environments without relying on detailed pre-mapped data, a feature the company says could enable faster expansion into new markets.
